News

Good evening,

I hope you are all surviving this hot weather.

I have a few housekeeping things to go over with you all, which I know most people do not like, but they are necessary in order to make things better for the club and for all members.

 1.  Make sure you SIGN IN when you enter the property.

 2.  Make sure you have your membership card with you in case someone asks to see it.  If anyone comes onto the property that you are unsure whether they should be there, do not hesitate to ask to see their membership card.  This should not offend anyone, it should make you feel safer knowing that we are looking out for our club.

 3.  WHEN YOU FINISH FOR THE DAY, please pay for the targets you shot.  IF NO ONE else is on the property or you are NOT sure if there is anyone else on the property please LOCK THE GATE WHEN YOU LEAVE.  If they are on the property, they should be able to get out by using the code to unlock the lock on the gate.

 4.  If you enter the clubhouse, make sure the doors are locked when you leave, lights are off, except for the motion light, and fans in the clubhouse and on the patio are turned off.

 5.  If you shoot skeet, restock skeet machines, make sure you turn off the power to the skeet traps as well as the power to skeet fields, and close and lock the power building.  If the skeet fields need attention, please contact Tommy Aylor at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call or text him at 434-941-0978.

 6.  If you shoot trap, make sure you restock the trap machines, return all microphones to the trap houses, and turn off the machines.  If you have a problem with the trap fields, please contact Dennis Fichtner at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or text him or call him at 434-665-9873.

7  If you shoot sporting clays or super sporting, make sure you take some targets out to the course to put in the traps. If a trap is broken, please contact Jacob Davis at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or text or call him at 434-944-0567 so he knows he needs to get them fixed.

 8.  If the pistol range needs any attention please contact Judy or Gary Gallion at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call Judy at 434-907-4443 or Gary at 434-851-6504.

 9.  If you shoot 5-stand, please return the remote to the box and refill traps.  If you have any problems with 5-stand please contact Kent Thomas at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call him at 434-944-6951.

 10.  If the rifle range needs attention, or there are any other problems on the grounds that are not specifically addressed above, please contact me, Frank Davis, at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call or text at 434-329-2382.

There have been too many cases of the gate not being locked, the clubhouse not being locked, the fans left on, the power building not closed or shut down of late.  It takes us all to keep this club safe and running smoothly.

It is an honor to be part of such a fine club, let's all work together to keep it that way.

 Thank you, Frank Davis, President,
Brushy Mountain Club
